Tony Thibon was born on August 15, 1927 in Creteil. Unfortunately, his mother died when he was just 9 years old. His father then entrusted him and his siblings to an orphanage. All of this before the war – the German occupation.

At this time, he took advantage of the opportunities he had to observe nature and animals when the schoolchildren of the orphanage of Saint Mande were sent to take refuge in Normandy.

He then took evening classes to pursue artistic training at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts. During this time, he met a professor who would train him to become a draftsman in the construction sector where he specialized in on-site surveys for the restoration of historical monuments.

Thibon was able to manage his professional activities with his pursuits as a painter and a family man. Any object brought back from his travels was a source of inspiration for the paintings he worked on.

As a painter, his memory and body of work is preserved behind the large galleries and his exhibitions are generally limited to figurative works during a first period.
